- Public and Bank Holidays Worldwide - Find public holidays in every country worldwide for each year until 2010. Available in English, French and Spanish.
- Laptop Lane - When you are stuck in an airport and need a place to work productively, a solution is on the horizon. Laptop Lane is rapidly opening up mini-offices in airports in the U.S. For one all-inclusive price of less than $23 an hour, billed in 1/4 hour increments, you get a private, lockable office with complete facilities: desk, desktop PC, laptop connection, Internet access over a T-1 line, e-mail access, telephone ( with U.S. long distance calls included in the price), fax machine, printer. - Washington Report - Get the latest on important developments in Washington without relying on traditional news media to report on it objectively. This is a searchable database of all bills introduced in Congress for the past three years. Search by house, bill number or subject.
- Futurestep Career Guidance - The service, sponsored by a major executive search firm, reports 50,000 management professionals have signed up. Candidates register at no charge and complete a series of questionnaires that address their skills, preferred organizational culture, decision-making style, and career motivators. Within 24 hours, they can log on to their personal home page at Futurestep and retrieve career feedback, including a potential salary. The CEO of the service says he expects it to enable recruiting drives to now take only 30 days compared to 4 - 6 months by traditional methods.
- Switchboard - Over 100 million residential listings and 11 million business listings. Of particular interest is the web site lookup. This feature enables you to enter a search subject and it pulls up a list of web sites about the subject with a link to each site.
- Federal Reserve Board Statistics And Releases - Here you can track things like selected interest rates, foreign exchange rates, and commercial paper trends. Other data includes assets and liabilities of commercial banks. There are some daily updates and others that are weekly, quarterly and annually. You can access the current releases and information and also historical data in their archives. There is a link to the Fed's home page which includes Alan Greenspan's biographical sketch.
- U.S. Business Advisor - This site provides access to the entire Federal Government for answers about government agencies, doing business with the government, and locating government resources and regulations.
- The 'Lectric Law Library - This site contains a wealth of legal reference materials as well as guides to legal forms. It is intended for both professionals and non-specialists.
